Shopfloor Improvement Pilot — One Production Line
A free initial 14-day pilot to select one measurable problem—such as downtime, material shortages, defects, or rework—and try a practical logging and follow-up routine with the plant team. No savings or OEE improvement is guaranteed.
Configuration & Kickoff
Agree on one line, problem definitions, shift target, logging method, and data access and handling. Brief the supervisor and team.
Floor Logging Routine
The team records events relevant to the selected problem using an agreed format. The facilitator helps check logging consistency.
Review Patterns & Follow Up
Review logged events with the process owner. If the data is sufficient, identify early patterns; prioritize actions, assign owners and due dates, then verify.
Pilot Review & Next Decision
Deliver a scoped baseline summary, patterns and data-quality limits, an owner-based action list, and next-step recommendations.
What can 14 days tell us?
The pilot looks for early patterns in logged events; it does not prove causation statistically. If the issue is infrequent or records are incomplete, findings will be labeled as signals and the observation period can be discussed.
Scope follows plant readiness
Before kickoff, we agree on the line, event types, logging method, and deliverables. The pilot requires no sensors, PLC changes, or system integration.
Objectively Measured Facts
- Event or downtime duration (minutes)
- Agreed disruption categories
- Defect, rework, or scrap counts when relevant
- Record completeness and source
Modeled Baseline Projections
- Estimated time or output impact
- Indicative cost only if the plant provides assumptions
- Action priorities based on logged events
Explicit Service Boundaries
- Zero automated OEE promises without physical execution
- Pilot facilitation and the logging format are agreed before kickoff
- No sensor, PLC/SCADA, or system integration
- Customer data is handled under a written agreement
